FEEDHIT Live Traffic Map for my blog

I haven't checked Feedjit recently. I am amazed of how Web 2.0 tools update and add new features everyday. The Live Traffic Map for the blog subscribed was before when I started using the tool, but it was not sophisticated like the one I have seen today (below).I believe that the new features of RSS and aggregation software have added to the this. Feedjit gives you "Today's Popular Pages for Map Area" in %. The ones whcih got the biggest rate are Suda-Cyber-Sailing 2.0 [50%, Sudaneseonline is back today! [7%],Teaching Values, Unconsciously! [7%], British Council Sudan Workshop at Rotana [3%],Sudanse music خلي العيش حرام - السمندل [3. It also shows "Country Page Views for Map Area". It's interesting to know that for my blog, USA got[32%](biggest number of bloggers)

I am here now, procrastinating from preparing hundreds of tasks for the new term.
Ahhh! At least I am not wasting my time. I am not Twittering, but exploring and blogging:-)

21 and More Opened Tabs;Twitter

I start my daily online journey with checking emails (2@yahoo, 1@gmail). Then I move to twitter. This happens in a multitasking way. The bandwidth is not so fast and I sue both IE and Firefox at the same time( wonder if this good!), so while waiting for a page to open, I would have done 2-3 tasks. I wonder if this how people multitask!!Anyway, I usually start with a plan on my side, written on my notebook. I have to finish what I planed (usually not too many)before I put my toy off.These days, I always end up with "None is done" phrase. Why? Because I start with twitter, and end up with 20 something tabs opened on my Firefox browser. I end up to the neck fulled with knowledge, news, update articles, joining seminars, meeting or presentations, asking for help, sending tweets to sick people, giving hellos to ones missed and so many tweets on the tweet sphere. I was, for the third time, so reluctant about Twitter, but now, it's my homepage for staring the journey, BUT still can't figure out how to use it with my students!! I will work on that soon. The photos are for a presentation at Elluminate about informal learning that I dived in when I followed a tweet by Cris. When I was in, I was asked if there are informal learning cases in Sudan I want to share.I remembered the students who sit at the back and that when I try to engage them in class and they reply by "Ha?".

Think before you blog

Actually, I have something to blog everyday; in my work, family, country, online communities, friends, life in general. But the question is does it worth taking the time to blog about it? Putting what's in your mind in words using L2 has always been a problem to me. In speaking, noooo! I still use the mmm..aaaa a lot. Translating takes a fraction of a second, but still affects my speaking. Writing? I take long time to edit/re-edit a post, so many times, when I thought about this, I was refrained from posting.Anyway, I decided not to stop blogging, even if I would only post an image. That will do..maybe only to me!

What should I blog about?

My posts seem to lessen monthly! The truth is that I do miss blogging. I don't want to be another Sudanese who complains about life in Sudan and how things are getting complicated every single moment. As if we are a herd driven by the current situation to the "nowhere", where there will be no step back.Anyway, concerning myself, my friends, my family and my neighbors ( about 1000 person!), we are all being driven to the unknown!!
Let's keep on dreaming that one day...just one day, we will wake up and find our beloved country a better one!

Enjoying lurking

The picture tells it all! After Eid, I started crawling to my laptop. I still can't blog, work, prepare or participate actively in both the cyberspace and the kyberspace!I am enjying being a lurker!

"I am blogging because I am a life-long learner. I am willing to share what I have learned. I need to learn with/from others. I love to read/watch others’ contribution to knowledge . I like to track how knowledge is distributed. Isn’t this what is all about? Sharing knowledge, experience, feelings, networking collaboratively with local and international communities. Although I hate writing, here I am, blogging about everything. I blog because I NEED to be inside the blogosphere which is created by bloggers, the real people with whom we live and interact. I guess it is also about communicating with people. Can I call it peo-blogging ( people-blogging)? I don’t have many blogs, five at Blogger and two at Wordpres! When I started to blog, which is the way how to learn the blogging process, I wasn’t aware of the dozens of the world-wide-windows that keep on opening with every blog post I add, or every post I read. I blog because blogging have changed my life and it will keep on giving me a better life, with other bloggers!!"
